Lorenzo De Monaco
Cantiniere
Lorenzo De Monaco grew up in Italy's Campania region, about one hour south of Rome. He has compiled a list featuring small, family-run vineyards that wander the length and breadth of Italy. Alongside a wide selection of white, red, dessert, and sparkling wines will be the Umbrian red Rosso di Montefalco, one of De Monaco's favorites, as it's the perfect accompaniment to the grilled meats and sausages Chef Orfaly will be featuring on the menu. All of Marco's house red and white wines are available by the 1/4 carafe, 1/2 carafe, and carafe. Lorenzo also leads Americans on cycling and culinary tours of Italy's many distinct regions with Bike Riders, Inc, the Boston-based travel company he established with his wife in 1991.
